Welcome

Improving diversity in our education system and workforce, one young person at a time

Equal Potential are a non-profit organisation based in Farnborough, Hampshire.

We are a team of professionals and volunteers, who are experienced in providing support to vulnerable children and young people.

Our Mission

We strive to give every young person a fighting start in their professional lives by supporting young people who are typically under-represented and under-supported in employment.  We do this by providing:

  • Consultancy to businesses and organisations to improve their inclusion practices for both staff and service users.

  • Alternate provision privately or through local authorities to ensure neurodivergent children struggling to attend school are still able to achieve qualifications in maths and English.

  • CPD accredited training to community leaders and small businesses, to develop social opportunities and access to public places for neurodivergent young people.

  • Community outreach programmes including family support, mentoring, workplace skill development, social events and learning opportunities for neurodivergent young people in Rushmoor and surrounding areas.

We believe that early and ongoing support, both while in formal or alternate education, and while in the early stages of their career, are vital to creating more equal opportunities, that set up young people for long-term success.  Whether through mentoring, skills-based learning, holiday clubs or career advice, we are dedicated to helping neurodivergent young people reach their full potential by providing support at the earliest possible stage.

"It takes a while for my kids to relax and enjoy group settings, every meet up we've been to has been so patient and understanding of their needs and worked hard to help them feel included."
